“Dry van” refers to the trailer type used to transport any kind of general freight that usually does not need to be refrigerated, and is usually ideal for shipments that need to be transported securely and that are non-perishable. It mostly includes palletized cargo or freight that contains consumer goods and products, such as appliances, clothing, furniture, etc. Dry vans are fully enclosed, and the cargo is protected from environmental agents including inclement weather.
